Caolion Perfect Pores Kit Review |
No one does beauty better than Koreans, whether its skincare or plastic surgery. Skincare is a major Korean export product and its admirable how the government dedicates resources into the research of new products and funding the Korean beauty industry.
The
Caolion Perfect Pores Kit from the popular Korean beauty e-shop
Peach & Lily is a perfect introductory kit to Korean skincare. This is a set of 4 fun "pore-minimising" skincare products.
Now, just to put it out there, pore size is genetically determined and there is no topical product that can shrink them. However we CAN tackle the "appearance" of pores using skincare products that leave temporary effects. Let's get started on our new skincare set!

Caolion Freshly Chitosan Foam Cleanser Review |
Caolion Freshly Chitosan Foam Cleanser. The routine starts with this cleanser. It's a smooth peach-tinted cleanser. It only takes a pea-sized amount to cleanse the entire face. It does not have any pesky smells which is a good thing. Compared to my favourite
La Roche Posay Cleansing Gel, it foams and I find this to be a lot more drying. It leaves that super squeaky clean feel on the skin but also on the fingers, which I'm not particularly a fan of. It does not seem to remove makeup especially eye makeup well so I would use a micellar water cleanser beforehand. Following patting my face dry, I rush to the next step as that squeaky sensation does get quite uncomfortable.

Caolion Premium O2 Bubble Pore Pack Review |
Caolion Premium O2 Bubble Pore Pack comes next, which is an easy favourite from the set. It is a lightweight grey mousse with little bits of exfoliator. Massage it on dry or damp skin for a couple of minutes and it bubbles up on its own. Very cool! Leave to rest for two minutes and then wash off. It leaves my skin super soft. I've never had a skincare product like this and I love it!

Caolion Premium Original Pore Pack Review |
Caolion Premium O2 Bubble Pore Pack is a soothing cooling clay masque. I would apply this on particularly oily areas ie. the T-zone to tighten the appearance of pores. In terms of its minty soothing nature, I find it similar to
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque with a main difference that it doesn't harden as it dries and thus makes it easier to remove. It washes off easily with warm water, and even better yet with a washcloth. My skin feels super soft, smooth, significantly more radiant. Any pus-filled blemishes shrink away.

Caolion Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask Review Peach & Lily |
Caolion Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask is a watery jelly-like product that's meant to be kept on the skin overnight as a sleeping mask. Apply a thin layer on clean skin and wash off in the morning. I feel it tightens up the skin when worn, but gets comfortable with time. In these summer months I don't need to add a moisturiser overnight but maybe in the winter time I may need to. My skin feels super soft in the morning. Another gem from this set!
