Rimmel Rose Bikini, Sugar Plum & Foxy
Because of my success with my first Rimmel lipstick in the shade Glam, I decided to make the most of the Superdrug 3 for 2 offer and try out more shades. These 3 stood out to me and so I bought them. These are Rimmel Rose Bikini, Sugar Plum and Foxy. Keep reading for reviews & swatches!
When I first saw Rose Bikini, I was immediately reminded of MAC's Lollipop Loving and Pink Cabana because of its coral shade with greenish gold reflects! I'm love those two lipsticks since they're so unique and pretty, and so I decided to purchase Rose Bikini.
But when I swatched them, Rimmel Rose Bikini was lighter in pigmentation compared to the other two, which makes me happier that they aren't the same exact shades! For application.. it's creamy to apply but kinda tastes of sunblock (?). I don't eat sunblock lol, but I'm reminded of those lip balms that have SPF. Not really my taste, but I can bear it.
The next one I picked was Rimmel Sugar Plum. I just loved the hot pink-ness and the shimmers. I compared it to some of my hot pink lipsticks from MAC - Fun n Sexy, Pomposity & Rocking Chick:
Based on the swatches, Sugar Plum is as sheer as Fun n Sexy, but Fun n Sexy's shimmers are more reflective. I also thought that Sugar Plum looked like a sheer version of Pomposity, because of the same purple frost.
Lastly, I opted for another nude shade in the Volume Boost range. This is called Foxy, and here it is next to Rimmel Glam lipstick:
As you can see it's lighter and more pink toned.
All in all I'm super happy with my purchases. With the offer at Superdrug, I bought three great lipsticks at the cost of less than one lipstick from MAC! These are pretty good quality in my opinion, so its such a steal! ♥
This is Rimmel Volume Boost lipstick in the shade Glam. This lipstick is the first drugstore lip product I've bought in YEARS! That's because I got traumatized when I developed a delayed hypersensitivity reaction (an allergy after prolonged exposure to a product) to Maybelline lipsticks. My lips became all chapped and flaky within an hour of wearing them - it was so scary! So I stay away from Maybelline and L'oreal (sister company) lipsticks and lipglosses now, but their lip liners and mascaras are still good (for me). *That's partly what started my MAC addiction!* But when I was browsing through my local Superdrug, I thought why not try a lipstick from Rimmel and see if my lips can tolerate these, and all I have to say is good things about it! I wanted a nude colour to go with almost any eye makeup and easy for on the go. After a few swatches on my hand, I settled on this shade and bought it. From looking at Rimmel Glam lipstick from the tube, I thought it may be similar to MAC Brave New Bronze lipstick which I purchased from the earlier Style Warriors collection. But when I swatched it, Glam was much lighter and pinkier with tiny sparkles & a sheen, and if I was to give it a MAC finish, it's probably in between a cremesheen and a lustre! I love those two finishes so its no wonder I'm in love with this lipstick ♥

Rimmel Glam lipstick is from the Volume Boost range and it feels so creamy and moisturising when applied. I felt a slight minty sensation on my lips - that's probably for the 'Volume Boosting'. It felt cool and fresh, like a milder version of what you feel after brushing your teeth with minty toothpaste. It did not irritate my lips at all; it felt a lot like a lip balm *only more pigmented* and I believe it even healed my lips a bit! I really like wearing it, and I think I'll be purchasing more from this line! I love Rimmel for its nail polishes, but now for their lipsticks!!

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful lip gloss in Bobo
B's Bobo lip gloss is my first product from B, Lush's sister company that specialises in cosmetics and perfumerie, as opposed to Lush's toiletries and skin care. My BF helped me pick out this colour, in an attempt to help me venture out from the MAC world. And I don't regret it one bit.

B's Bobo lipgloss is a beautiful shade of fuchsia pink with blue and silver glitters. It applies sheer so its easy to layer. It also goes on smoothly and makes your lips feel so soft and smooth without being sticky, and it also has that faint rose scent.
This product is long-wearing and stains your lips.

One thing to note is an earlier expiry date of the products compared to other cosmetics, but this is because the company claims that they use as much natural products as possible. This makes their products less likely to cause allergies.
B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful products are suitable for vegans, and the company is also against animal testing (although they do have human volunteers to test the products - which I always found weird). Although these points are definitely good things.
B's company also states:
"B NEVER TOO BUSY TO BE BEAUTIFUL feel that not only is the testing of cosmetic products and ingredients on animals unnecessary and unethical, but it is also scientifically unreliable, unable to adequately access the safety or efficiency of a product or ingredient, and may even allow unsafe products onto the market. We prefer to know that our products are safe for the humans that are going to be using them, so all of our products go through a rigorous assessment, and human trials using our panel of volunteer human testers. We prefer to use only natural ingredients with a proven record of safe use, and where we have to use synthetic ingredients or colour pigments we again use only those with a long and proven record of safe use."
So it all sounds good!
