One of my readers recently purchased a few items from my blog sale and deliberately chose the Standard Delivery option, which I explicitly stated that I would not be responsible if her items are lost/damaged in the post.  I sent out her package as soon as I possibly could. A few weeks later, she still hasn't received the items and started blaming me.

I apologised for the situation, offered to send her a copy of my receipt, and I repeated that as part of the agreement I cannot be held responsible for her choice of delivery. I offered to pay part of it back, and she didn't reply.

Later on I received a notice from Paypal that she completely reversed the transaction without letting me know. All of £18.

And now I'm stuck with a negative balance on my Paypal account, and lost my items too.

Then I realised, since delivery was not recorded at all, it is also possible that she may have received the items, and still reversed the payment. There's no way to tell really.

I guess I've learned a few lessons, and I hope this helps anyone planning on selling items too.

1. People can be unfair. And there can be some dishonest people in this world.
2. Don't sell items.
3. If you do, always send items with Recorded Delivery.
4. Protect yourself from transaction reversals with Paypal.

*5. I'm grateful to my previous buyers, who have been so honest. Thanks guys.

But I'm still a bit shocked by what happened. I was going to add a lot more Limited Edition items as I've recently sorted out my collection, but I guess.. My Blog Sale is Paused. For Now.

BLOG SALE PAUSED - FOR NOW

I have just seen the reviews and swatches online of the MAC Cham-Pale and Stylishly Yours collections, and I must say I cannot wait until I get to see these products in person! I am very excited about the launches. Cham-Pale looks kind-of blah, and I only want to get one item from it. Stylishly Yours on the other hand is so bright and colourful, and despite this, most of the products seem very wearable! Here are the items on my wishlist:

MAC Stylishly Yours & Cham-Pale Collection - Swatches & Thoughts! ♥

I'm wearing Rimmel's Gold Infusion nail varnish this week in an attempt to lift my mood. My bf's ill and he's gone home, and I'm leaving for the holidays this Friday, which means I won't be seeing him much before I leave... We haven't even celebrated an 'early Christmas' :( I know its not his fault he's ill.. but still, I can't really help being a bit lonely right? And to wish that.. well.. wish he wasn't ill so we could hang out before I leave. Oh well..

So I've been into golds lately ~ eyeshadow, eyeliner ~ and now I'm wearing this really pretty nail polish. I've gotten compliments from my friends today. And for the purpose of lifting my spirits.. I guess its working. Just a bit though.

But at least I'll be with my family soon. A few more days and I'll be back home again ~~

Would you wear this shade of nail polish?

What are you looking forward to the most this Christmas? ♥

And oh before I forget, Erica is hosting a lovely giveaway here!

Rimmel Lycra Pro Gold Infusion Nail Polish

Hey guys!

Its been ages since my last post. That's because I've been busy with moving to my new place in London, and now I live just a 5-minute walk from Oxford Street! Incase you aren't familiar with the place, its the main shopping street in London. So its great. Hahaha.. Aside from that, I've also started university this week, which isn't so great. I miss the summer holidays :( I miss my family back home in the Philippines :(

I've also been trying to make new posts, but I'm having trouble adjusting to my new camera. I've been united with my Canon 110IS ixus which I have bought over the summer from amazon.

I know Canon's an amazing brand for cameras, but I miss my old sony one. *since I'm having some trouble with this new one*

I gave my old Sony camera to my sister for her 15th birthday since she's been eye-ing it ever since I told her I'm getting a new one. I don't regret giving it to her though. I'm happy she's happy.

But the thing is... with my new Canon camera.. well... I just look so yellow in the photos!!! I need help. I'm still playing with the settings. If you know the right settings to take photos for looks, etc, please share. I'd greatly appreciate it. ♥

Anyway, I have a new look in line for my next post. As well as some shopping I've done since I got here. :)

Well, thanks for dropping by my lovelies~! ♥

Update~! And New Camera ♥

MAC's Makeup Art Cosmetics collection for Fall 2009 is already out in the US. I have just viewed the face charts for this collection, and I just love them! Most of them are quite wearable, and yet, full of colour. These are my top three favourites among the face charts!

1. Maira's Magic - Sweet and girly pinks ♥

2. Fresh Approach - Sultry greens! mmmm... :)

3. Haunting - I love the bright colours! Doubt I'll ever have the courage to wear them outside my house though. :3
I am eye-ing the Photorealism quad. Haunting and Maira's Mood eyeshadows seem to be calling me too, however I admit I probably have enough pink eyeshadows to last me a few years and I probably won't wear the bright blue Haunting much. But still, they look pretty :3

Have you bought anything from this collection? Is there anything from this collection that you feel you MUST have? ♥

Fall '09 Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection Face Charts

Hi guys! I'm sorry I haven't posted in ages. I've been really busy with Uni work and stuff. Year 3 Medicine Exams in 8 weeks (aaahhhhhh)!!

I haven't bought anything new from MAC -resisted well from getting anything from the Grand Duos collection! But I did a pretty good drugstore (mini)haul a few days ago.

I got Max Factor's False Lash Effect mascara - with the JUMBO WAND! I thought I would have problems with the size of its wand but I was still curious to try it. And I must say I was wrong, and I LOVE IT! Review to come :)

I've been wanting to get a Fibre Optic Duo Fibre brush (such as the 187 or 188 from MAC) but those are too expensive for now. I found a great alternative - Jemma Kidd's Foundation brush. Bristles are so soft, I love it too. Great for MSFs!

So yea. I bought the Max Factor mascara from Superdrug and Jemma Kidd's Foundation brush from Boots. I'm pretty happy with my purchases. :)
