Second time trying out my false lashes! Really simple look with warm bronzes and pale pinks. The falsies were the toughest bits! I need to watch more youtube videos hehe. Any tips you can share for applying false lashes?
I used:
EYES
MAC Soft Ochre paint pot
MAC Bronze and Naked Lunch eyeshadows
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero
Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara
Cheap False Lashes
FACE
No overall foundation/face powder
Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Foundation to contour
MAC Pink Swoon blush
LIPS
MAC Plink! lipstick

Don't be fooled by the dewyness! Its not highlight.. lol. It was quite warm today. Well, relatively since it really IS warm in the Philippines. And I didn't use any all over face powder or foundation today... except the products on the cheeks. Oh, and if you noticed, I finally got my brows reshaped! I think my month wait of re-growing my eyebrows was worth it. =)
Hope you liked this look! ♥
I went on a shopping trip today, mostly for grooming essentials: tweezers and new rubber cushions for my eyelash curler. I've also been envious of girls online wearing false eyelashes since I've never worn them before, so I decided to get some of those too!
At the end of this post I have pics trying on my falsies, I got so excited! Lol. Its my first time wearing them :3

I was so surprised to find these tweezers. They immediately caught my eye! So cute. Prints of girls on the tweezers, with their backs on the other side! I'm keeping the peachy pink one in the middle, and giving the blue one to my sis and the pink one to my mum. :)
So that's my haul! I'm surprised at how cheap these were altogether. Part of what makes me miss the Philippines when I'm in the expensive UK! I'm loving my false lashes, I'm gonna stock up on them :)
Now, onto the pics!!! ♥
I really like these ones as they make my lashes look a lot fuller but not too fake. On my cheeks I am wearing MAC's On A Mission blush, and on my lips I have MAC Possum Nose Pink lipglass.
Do these falsies suit me? :) How often do you wear false eyelashes?? ♥
My body suffers from dry skin, whereas on my face I have combination skin: dry cheeks and an oilier T-zone (across the forehead and down the nose). I hate having dry skin: The way it feels - tight, the way it looks - white patches of flaky skin, the way it itches, and the way it makes my skin crack and bleed all by itself - especially in the winter. Dry skin also accelerates the aging process and encourages wrinkle formation. Horrible. Which is why Moisturising is a Must!

I love using Olay products for my face. I've just finished my 50g Olay Total Effects pump and I was looking for a replacement. I found this at the grocery, which came with the little pump free! I've wanted to get 2 moisturisers: 1 with SPF and 1 without (for nights out and pictures), and this deal was just what I needed. I haven't tried the Olay Total Effects in Gentle as my previous one was in Normal, so I'll try to review it once I've used it more.

My mom gave me a tube of Cocoa Butter cream since she stocked up on it when she went to America! I've never tried this before, and I was pleasantly surprised. It smells really tasty - a lot like my Tutti Dolci body cream in Creme Brule, but I don't recommend eating it of course. It dries quite quickly and it leaves your skin so smooth and soft.

HOW I USE MY MOISTURISER
On body:
I apply body lotion after I've towel-dried myself from the shower. I find that the lotion is quickly absorbed into my skin during this time and effects last for most the day depending on your moisturiser.
On face:
I apply face moisturiser (Olay) at the end of my face cleansing routine which is twice a day. This takes three easy steps:
1) Wash face with gentle cleanser and pat dry with a soft face towel
2) Apply toner with a piece of cotton wool
3) Apply face moisturiser with clean fingers
Like with the body lotion, I find that the face cream is more easily absorbed on damp skin just after cleansing.
As Required:
In addition to these, I get random bouts of dryness, especially with my hands from washing them frequently. When this happens, I just apply moisturiser as needed.
Note: In the UK with the dry air and cold wind, I religiously stick to this routine, even in the summertime. However, in more humid environments such as here in the Philippines and I tend to use moisturisers less since my skin tends to break out with spots.
I hope this has helped some. Do you moisturise your skin regularly? What products do you use? ♥

Moisturising is a Must!

I finally got the package my honey sent me for my birthday!
At first, I was really doubting whether I would really receive it; I thought it might have been stolen since it's about 5 days late. I just don't really trust mailmen in the Philippines. But I was wrong! When the doorbell rang this morning and I peeked out the window, I saw a man carrying letters beside his motorcycle. My brother went out to talk to him, and he told me there was mail for me! :D I got so excited. I paid the guy for his service, and ran back in the house with my package. I quickly opened it, and found a huge card (it was folded to fit in the envelope) and my bf's extra birthday present to me. He just spoils me so much. I love him :)
Well anyway, enough blab from me, here are pictures of what I got!

He didn't really want me to show his card to anyone, but I guess this little photo of it should be alright. I'll move on to the next thing he got me... a MAC blush from the Style Warriors collection. :3

The blush is called On A Mission. This is probably my first plummy blush. It has the awesomely smooth beauty powder blush texture. MAC describes it as a pearly mid-tone plum. I love it!
