Cat Eye Ink - 5/5

Cat Eye Ink is a jet black, felt tip eyeliner. It's slanted edge makes it easy to make a wing. This product made it's way to my make up bag. It is easy to use, highly pigmented, and long lasting. Bravo Pixi! (Check out our Fall Look featuring this product)

Endless Brow Gel Pen - 3.5/5

A little goes a long way with this product. Since it is a Gel pen, the formula is thick. It's texture almost feels like the MAC Feline eyeliner. I did not like how sticky it felt on my eyebrows. It was harder to shape and tame my hairs. But if you're looking for an eyebrow pen to last you the whole day (literally), this will be your best friend. Pure Fuchsia Mattelustre Lipstick - 3/5

Pure Fuchsia is semi-sheer and semi-pigmented. It is comparable to MAC Madly Magenta in color, and so I have the same issues with regards to the shade of this lipstick. (See MAC Madly Magenta Mini-Review). What I love about this product is it's easy application and gorgeous finish. It's the best of both worlds: matte with just a little hint of shine.

Plum Berry Mattelustre Lipstick - 4.5/5

The it-color for Fall. Plum Berry has the same formula as Pure Fuchsia, yet it in a much more wearable color. I am in love with this lipstick! It makes lips look sweet and juicy. Just be wary of teeth stains.

Pixi Product Review and Swatches (August Box)

MAC Talk that Talk Pro Longwear Lip Pencil is a matte dark purple lip pencil from the RiRi ♥ MAC Collection. This was meant to complement the MAC Talk That Talk lipstick from the same collection. With this product, application is neither easy or difficult, it tends to glide on the lips well and deposit colour, however, it can be a bit patchy. Like most lip pencils with the Pro Longwear formula, this tends to be drying and unforgiving on flaky lips. I like using lip pencils all over the lips to act as a longer wearing base for lipsticks, but this product causes lips to 'shrink wrap' as you can see in my photo. Proper lip preparation with a moisturising lip balm is a must. This product itself is long wearing and can hold itself well against drinks, but when combatted against oil containing foods, some product tends to slip off.

Lip Swatch: RiRi ♥ MAC Talk That Talk Pro Longwear Lip Pencil Review and Swatches

MAC Fixed on Drama lipstick is from the MAC Retro Matte Collection. It is matte brownish plum colour. It is easy to apply over moisturised lips. However because of the matte finish, it is unforgiving on dry flaky lips. I find dark colours a bit more difficult to apply perfectly, so I would recommend using a matching lip pencil.

Lip Swatch: MAC Fixed on Drama Lipstick from the MAC Retro Matte Collection Review and Swatches

MAC Boyfriend Stealer lipstick from the MAC Archie's Girls collection is a dark purple grey with a glossy cremesheen finish. It belongs to the Veronica line up. It's a pretty unique colour and I don't own anything like it. I was first wary about this colour, but the bf said it was the most unique and vampiest among all the lipsticks from this collection. He virtually pushed me to purchase this. And I have no regrets at all! It is gorgeous and actually quite sexy. The cremesheen formula is smooth and creamy to apply. It is glossy but not shimmery. However I find that it has the tendency not to last very long and leave patches of colour on your lips. I find that using a similar-coloured lip liner as a base helps keep the colour in place. This colour may be intimidating and one may think it is quite difficult to pull off because the colour is quite dark and intense, however it works well with minimal effort: just simple eye makeup, such as plain black eyeliner and mascara.

I think this colour would look great on all skintones. However, because of the grey undertones, I think it would particularly look good on those with dark hair.

Over the last year, I have accumulated a few Sleek MakeUP True Colour lipsticks. These are richly pigmented lipsticks that come in an affordable price. There are so many shades to choose from (20+) and they come in a variety of finishes - I have a few matte and sheen lipsticks. I also love the packaging, so sleek. *no pun intended!* They come in small black easy-grip plastic containers that don't look at all cheap. They are pretty light and easy to carry around.
