It’s my Big Sister’s birthday today!

 I thought I’d put together a make up look inspired by Livia; the lovely, creative mind behind this blog. My sister is my favourite beauty guru. I look up to her for beauty and fashion tips. But she's also like a second mommy to me, and I always take her advice in to consideration. I am very proud of what she has achieved and I am proud to call her my sister.

All of these tricks contribute to the coveted “Livia Glow” that reflects her sweet and bright personality.

Look: The Livia (Surprise Post!)

MAC Girl Next Door lipstick from the MAC Archie's Girls collection is a pale whitish pink with a hint of lavender with a lustre finish. It belongs to the Betty line up.
 
It is reminiscent of Fashion Mews lipstick from the MAC Hello Kitty collection.

I find that this is quite unforgiving on flaky lips and exfoliating is a must with this product. Also since the colour is quite different from my natural lip colour, I find that using a similar-coloured lip liner as a base helps keep the colour in place. This colour would look great paired with a smokey eye look.

MAC Girl Next Door Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie’s Girls)

 MAC Betty Bright lipstick from the MAC Archie's Girls collection is a bright pinky coral lipstick with a creamy satin finish. No shimmers here! It belongs to the Betty line up.
 
 
I think this colour would look great on all skintones.
And it is perfect for the spring and summer!
 
I'm a big fan of coral lipsticks and this is my favourite lipstick from this collection.

MAC Betty Bright Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie’s Girls)

   MAC Pleasureseeker, Cut a Caper and Fire Sign Lipsticks
These 3 lipsticks from MAC were recently released in the MAC Heavenly Creatures Collection along with a bunch of mineralised products. 2 of the lipsticks featured are repromotes - Pleasureseeker lipstick was from the MAC Neo Sci Fi collection hence I have it in the hot orange packaging. Cut a Caper was first released in the MAC A Tartan Tale Collection. 
 
 
MAC Pleasureseeker Lipstick
This lipstick has a glaze formula. I find it to have the texture of a lustre, but with a slightly frosty finish. It is a pale peach with a cool bluish frost. The frost is not too much and I like the sheen it gives.
 
 
MAC Cut a Caper Lipstick
This lipstick has always been one of my favourites. It is a peachy pink shade with a slightly glossy lustre finish. I love lustres as they glide well onto my lips and are a bit moisturising.
 
 
MAC Fire Sign Lipstick
This pinky red is new to the Heavenly Creatures collection. It has a glossy lustre finish. I find that glossy red lips can appear a bit over the top for everyday use, so I usually blot it out with a tissue and it leaves a gorgeous just-bitten stain on the lips.

MAC Force of Love Lipstick, MAC Stunner blush

MAC Force of Love lipstick hails from the MAC Chen Man Collection. Chen Man is a chinese fashion photographer in her early 20's known for her dreamy and fantasy-themed photoshoots. Out of the entire collection, I picked up this lipstick called Force of Love. It is a matte *super* bright coral-pink; it looks practically neon! It is definitely an eye-catcher. It is creamy to apply and it is very pigmented. It is perfect for Springtime, but definitely not for the colour-shy.

MAC Watch Me Simmer lipstick is a limited edition lipstick from the MAC SHOP MAC COOK MAC Collection. It is a creamy coral pink in a MAC Amplified Creme finish. It is opaque in one swatch and feels moisturising on the lips. It looks a brighter in person than on the lip swatch, but it is not as 'electrifying' as I thought it would be.
