The bf and I celebrated our Valentine's Day early on Friday the 12th of February as opposed to the 14th. Here's the look I wore on our special day! He's such a sweetie ♥ Anyway, continue reading for my look, my day and a brush review :) xx

We met after he finished uni and we walked around Oxford Street for a bit, went to GAME to look for new video games, and then ate out at one of my ever favourite restaurants - Las Iguanas in Soho.

We had the usual: 3 Tapas - Champinones, Quesadillas and Nachos. A few drinks, and we also tried this new dish called Chilli. I didn't like it as much as what we always order, but it was worth a try. Too much tomato sauce. :)

After that, Selfridges was still open and we decided to drop by. And I was so thrilled - he got me the MAC 130 brush! So here's my short review!

The MAC 130 brush is a flat toppped duo fibre brush. The bristles are firm but soft. It's more dense than the 188 brush, and its white bristles are also much shorter. I've heard that this brush is good for applying foundation, ensuring an 'air-brushed' finish with enough buffing, but I think it may also be good at contouring since the shape kinda reminds me of the MAC 109 brush, which used to be my contouring brush! I don't contour my cheeks any more which is why 'it used to be'. I think this brush may also be good for applying blush, since its small enough, creme or powder blushes. I'm so excited to have this, I couldn't stop smiling through the night because he bought it for me, but mainly because he actually remembered that I wanted this! It makes me really happy when people remember my wishlists lol. xx Well anyway, onto more pictures :)

Valentine's Day: My Look, Day, & New MAC 130 Brush! ♥

These are four long overdue Tags! - I'm sorry but I've just been so busy! But now I have the time :) I thank the wonderful bloggers who nominated me for the awards. Here are my answers and the friends I pass them on to ♥

I was tagged this by the beautiful Stacey from Girls are made from sugar and spice ... ♥. The rules of this tag are ~

"Post 10 things that make you happy, try to do at least one of them today, link back to the person who awarded you and pass along for up to ten people."

So here 10 things that make me happy! ♥

Being with people I love ~ My family, friends and the bf!
Watching no-brainer movies like coms, rom-coms ~ such a great way to relax! I don't understand those who like watching movies that require so much thinking lol x
Eating. I love food. It doesn't help that I have a fast metabolism! I have to munch on something every 2 hours!
Makeup. New Makeup. MAC. I love looking at new collections and getting a little something from each too.
Receiving gifts - Who wouldn't be happy with that?? :)
Dancing makes me happy~ I always feel good after a dance session, gives me endorphins! I'm a bellydancer~! ♥
Watching the sunset at the beach ~
Playing role playing games like the Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy and other squaresoft games~
Things that make me go AwwWWww - make me happy :) ♥
♥ Last but not the least, blogging makes me happy! It feels so great being able to meet all of you wonderful people and learn from each other too! xx

These two tags are pretty similar so I've done them both in one. I was tagged by the beautiful Kelly from Plane Beauty and the gorgeous Peachykeen from Beauty has no label. The rules are to share 7 random things about yourself! And to pass them to 7 people. Here are my 7 random things ~

1. I had braces but I didn't want my overbite removed (so I still have it lol!)
2. I love eating crabs and shrimps though I'm allergic to them. I take my anti-allergy tablets beforehand!
3. I like dipping fresh warm salty and crispy McDonald's fries in McDonald's vanilla ice-cream. It really tastes good together, you should try it!
4. I also enjoy eating chocolate with potato crisps at the same time.
5. I shared this in a previous tag, but I've had a pet chicken before.
6. I have hyperacidity issues and need to take Gaviscon when studying for stressful exams!
7. I get grumpy when I'm hungry. Lol.

I just realised that 5 out of 7 random stuff I thought have something to do with my stomach! Although I do use my teeth to eat, and the chicken was eventually eaten (I was so shocked then), so that would make it all 7 to do with food. My bf thinks my stomach rules me, which I used to deny, but now I'll have to say its probably true. Well here are my pretties I tag! Feel free to take both tags, or to chose one!

I've been lemming for the MAC 188 brush for ages! But its quite expensive that's why I haven't purchased it... and so it was such a big surprise that my bf ordered it for me from maccosmetics.co.uk over the weekend!

The MAC 188 brush is a small duo fibre brush - ie. white and black fibres. Its supersoft! Its small enough to highlight the cheekbones, and it can also be used to apply blush - which is what I'm going to use it for! At the moment I use Jemma Kidd's foundation/stippling brush, but it needs a break too. At least now I have two blush brushes, one I can use for sparkly blushes and one for mattes, or one for pinks and one for peaches, one to use when the other one's just been washed ~ endless possibilities lol. Its great to have a backup brush! ♥

As I said, it is pretty small. Here it is compared to my dirty So Ceylon MSF/Refined Golden bronzer-ed Jemma Kidd brush. I didn't clean it purposely so you can tell which one is which! But its clean now lol

I'm soo happy to finally have this! My bf is so sweet. I found out he even memorised my wish list! He knew this had been on my list for a while so he finally got it for me ~ This counts as my second Christmas present from him, the first one being the cheese basket he sent to the Philippines! He thinks he spoils me too much, and I think so too lol. I'm so lucky to have him~ !! ♥♥♥

Do you have this brush? What do you mainly use it for?? ♥

I also have a special edition version of the MAC 187 from the Red She Said collection, but I found that its too big to use on my cheeks... Any ideas what I can do with it? ♥

A Late Christmas Present: MAC 188 Brush

Hi everyone!! Merry Christmas! I hope you all are having a wonderful time. *I know I am!* I've been super-busy since I got back home in the Philippines. I arrived here on Sunday the 20th, which was my little brother's birthday! So I attended and helped out in his birthday party, and after that I went to watch a show by the LKD Performing Arts Center. Our little cousins came over and they're soo cute! Played with them too. On the 22nd my mom's company had their annual Christmas party with a lot of games and stuff, it was just so fun. And on the 23rd my family and I spent the night at Eden Mountain Resort and caught fish to eat and saw the peacocks lol. On the 24th we had our Christmas eve dinner and today, the 25th's Christmas! Gift-giving and gift-receiving haha. And lots of wine, cheese and Super Mario Brothers Wii! Funny that I was able to summarise what I've been doing so far in a paragraph, but I really was busy!

I just wanted to give you a quick update on my blog, and show you what I purchased from the MAC store at Heathrow Duty Free before I left the UK! ♥

The first one I picked up was MAC Peaches blush. I've been wanting to get this blush for AGES! But since it was a permanent item, I chose to wait until I get to the airport to purchase it to save myself £2+. It's a true peach colour with a sheertone shimmer finish, it makes you look like you're 'glowing from within' if you know what I mean. No frost, no sheen, just a true peach.

The next one I got was MAC Tete-a-tint eyeshadow. I've been using Cork eyeshadow a lot for my crease lately, which is a golden brown, and I wanted a peachy-toned alternative to it. When I swatched this, I immediately fell in love! It's a matte2 finish, which means it's so soft, so smooth, so pigmented and so easy to blend! I love this colour. ♥

I wanted a second eyeshadow, and I was contemplating between Sketch and this one. I remembered my makeover look done by one of the MAs at MAC which I loved, and chose to purchase this eyeshadow instead. This is MAC Antiqued eyeshadow, a shimmery dark reddish-brown. It's a veluxe pearl formula, so it's soft, smooth and pigmented, and I love it. :)

This last one wasn't actually bought by me. My mom bought it when she was at the Duty Free for me about a month ago! She gave it to me as soon as I got home. MAC Medium Plus MSF is THE right shade for me. It's more golden-toned compared to Medium, but I've been using Medium since it's what I originally purchased and I just wanted to finish it!

Here are swatches!

Medium Plus MSFN, Peaches, Tete-a-Tint, Antiqued

So that's my haul you guys! I can't wait till I get a hold of some stuff from the Love Lace and Warm & Cozy collections! There are a few swatches on the web so far, but they're all really pretty! I'm looking at the eyeshadows from Love Lace, and from Warm & Cozy, I'm eye-ing a lippie, an MSF, an eyeshadow, and a shadestick! :)

How's your Christmas going? Having fun?? ♥

The four of us first met up at Belgo in Covent Garden. It's a Belgian restaurant and I had mussels with chips! Yum yum :) I just love seafood ♥ If you go there and order before 6 o'clock, you get discounts on the food. After that we had dessert at Haagen Das in Leicester Square, where we exchanged gifts for Secret Santa!

Cath and I at Belgo

Myself with Caroline at Haagen Das

We each bought a present worth about £15, and then drew lots to see who gets who's present. Imagine our surprise when in the first lots we picked, we each got our own names! It was really creepy. Like what are the chances?? The next time though, it was alright. And here's what I got from my friend, Laura!

MY FIRST EVER SHU UEMURA EYELASHES! They're so nice. They're half-cut ones, which are meant to be put at the outer ends of the lash line to make them look more 'flirty' I suppose. This type looks really great on almond shaped eyes, like mine! I can't wait to use these. I just hope I don't ruin these after the first use like my first MAC ones. They just look so fab - look at the black rhinestones! I'll never be able to afford these for myself since they're quite expensive, so I was so thrilled I got them as a present ♥♥

After cocktails and ice cream at Haagen Das, we went to Accessorize at Trocadero to check out some items, but none of them really caught my eye. They had fun playing with the hair accessories though. Then we went to Boots to check out the makeup and some Soap & Glory stuff since some of my friends haven't heard of the brand!

Here's my outfit - well with my coat on since the photo was taken outside. I finally get to show you a look with my bow tights! xx

I had a really great time tonight. It's great spending time with good friends ♥

Are there any upcoming events you're excited about? Hope you enjoyed reading this post! xx

LOOK: Sparkly Smokey Purples + Christmas Dinner with My Girls!!

Soap & Glory's Scandalips! set comes as part of holiday gifts from Boots. It claims to be a lip plumping kit. It comes with Marvelips double-ended pencil and Sexymotherpucker lipgloss in Candy. I've never tried Soap & Glory's cosmetic range before, so I was intrigued by this! Keep reading for product photos and swatches!

This kit comes with a mirror, a two-edged pencil and a sheer lip plumping lip gloss. Although I find that the mirror makes me dizzy.. not good.

The rose colour is meant to define the lips, ie. line and fill, and the white shimmery end is to highlight above the cupid's bow. Both ends of the pencil are sooo soft!! They effortlessly glide on my lips. ♥♥

The Sexymotherpucker lipgloss shade is called Candy. It's a shade exclusive to this set. Candy is a pinky-coral colour with tiny gold flecks, makes me think of MAC Love Nectar lustreglass. It's really pretty, but once it gets on my lips, I can only see the golden shimmers. It smell reminds me of Malibu rum like MAC plush glasses, and it tastes really sweet!

As for the lip plumping effect, when its on I feel ticklish tingles on my lips which fade after about half an hour. During this time, your lips are supposed to plump up, but I haven't noticed any change in the 'plumpness' of my lips, though. Maybe it only works for some people?..

Here are swatches:

This set was pretty hard to find, and with all these items in the kit, it only cost £12! I thought it was a steal since the lip gloss alone costs about £8-9!

What do you think?? Have you tried Soap & Glory cosmetics before?? ♥
