When it comes to false eyelashes from the drugstore I believe KISS makes some of the best. Their lashes are made with 100% natural hair. They are so lightweight that I often forget I am wearing them.
Every now and then they come up with new innovations of falsies to keep up with the trends. This new-ish line up consists of the "True Volume Lashes" which are unique because of the tapered ends that mimic natural lashes to help them blend seamlessly while providing essential volume.
How to Use False Eyelashes:
1. Check fit: Lay lash on top of your natural lashline. If needed, trim to fit from the outer corners.
2. Apply eyelash adhesive to lash band, I love DUO Striplash Adhesive. Wait 30 seconds for adhesive to become tacky.
3. Apply false lashes along your natural lash line. Wait to allow adhesive to dry completely.
Above I am wearing a pair of KISS True Volume Lashes in Chic on the top lash line. You can see how delicate they are and I must say they are more natural looking than dramatic synthetic pairs I have tried before. When using eyelash strips, I recommend a thin black line on the upper lash line to disguise bands from the eyelash strips.

If you have been a fan of MAC Cosmetics for as long as I have, you would know there have been at least two releases of MAC cremesheen lipsticks. The original had creamy lipsticks with no shimmers eg. the famous Shy Girl, Creme d' Nude and Creme Cup. The MAC cremesheen lipsticks I have here are from the second release the 'Cremesheen + Pearl' which are the more shimmery variety similar to lustres in finishes, semi-sheer to semi-opaque. The shades I have here are Peach Blossom, Saigon Summer, Coral Bliss and Sunny Seoul.

MAC Saigon Summer Lipstick is a bright orange, bordering on neon. With the moderately pigmented nature of cremesheens make this orange shade easy to wear compared to amplified finishes such as MAC Morange Lipstick.

MAC Sunny Seoul Lipstick is a mid-tone yellow pink with shimmers. When swatched it looks like a less intense version of MAC Chatterbox Lipstick.

Leading up to my second big day which will take place in a hot and humid tropical paradise (see first big day makeup HERE), my obsession for trying to find the Holy Grail foundation has magnified exponentially. Promise me with a foundation with long-wear hold and I will try it. Having been a fan of the original MACPro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation, I was eager to try out this new waterproof version. Not that I go swimming in my makeup, but ho hey... Here's the review!
MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation
One thing that struck me about this foundation is how little product there is. It has 25ml per tube compared to 30ml for the original MACPro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation and 40ml for MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation. I have been assured however that this can be used for both foundation and concealer and lasts for 16 hours without touching up to make up for the amount of product. It will perhaps take a while before I finish a tube anyway.
The foundation has somewhat a thick gel like consistency similar to but thicker than MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation. It is easy to spread on the skin, I like using a damp sponge or warm fingertips. It dries moderately quickly with a medium skin-like coverage. You can easily add on another layer of product for a fuller coverage.
I find it can be unforgiving to dry patches and one must ensure well-moisturised skin. After a couple hours of wear I find my skin getting dryer and dryer, perhaps this is one to avoid in the cold winter months. At least it does keep shine off bay!
I would recommend this for oily skins with well-moisturised skin. I would suggest dry skin types to stay away from this foundation.

Starting off with my primer and SPF in one, I slapped on Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Protect paying attention to my oily T-zone. Following this I applied MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation with my fingers- the warmth of my fingertips allowed blending of the product into the skin.
I lightly contoured my cheeks with Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder. Using a Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush I applied Tarte Exposed Blush to the apples of my cheeks. High on the cheekbones I placed some Becca Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed.
I kept the eyes simple by lining some Maybelline Blue Eyestudio Liner just at the outer corners and blending into the lashline. The blue shade instantly makes eyes look wider awake by counteracting any redness of eye capillaries.
I used Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Mascara, the brush might be too huge for careless use. I had to wipe away some smudges with a qtip.
Finally moving to the lips I lined and filled them with MAC Whirl Lip Pencil for a pinky brown pout. I dabbed some Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue into the centre of my lips to make the lips look larger and luscious.
