On September 2010, my sister had her Sweet Sixteenth birthday celebration, themed Alice in Wonderland! It was a pretty big party with over a hundred guests. My entire family dressed up in costumes for the occasion, I was the Red Queen - I designed my own costume, hence its unlike any of the 'Red Queen/Queen of Hearts' costumes out there. I did my own makeup, as well as my sister's makeup - by her request! I was a bit proud that she chose me to do her makeup instead of the salon's makeup artist. Haha. This post has the makeup looks I did for us both, as well as about her big night. Well, I hope you enjoy the pictures~ ! ♥
Hello everyone! I'm sorry for the lack of posts. I seem to have underestimated how busy I would be this year, with going to the hospital everyday during the week and some on-calls in the weekends! I guess its no surprise since I am graduating within the next couple of years. I need to make the most of these two years to become the doctor patients can rely on.
Nevertheless, I still try to make time to update myself with the new MAC collections (haha) and I've recently checked out MAC's new Dare to Wear collection and the new Dazzle lipsticks. Here are my thoughts!
I turned 22 last Friday. Because one of my good friends couldn't make it to the dinner on the day itself, my friends organised a dinner and dessert the night before, and my wonderful bf took me out on a date on the actual day! My 2-day celebration was wonderful~ ♥ Keep reading~ !
The bf and I celebrated our Valentine's Day early on Friday the 12th of February as opposed to the 14th. Here's the look I wore on our special day! I used mainly items from the MAC Colour Craft collection. It's sweet and girly ~ The bf really liked it! And guess what he got me for Valentine's Day?? Well you don't really need to guess, its on the title! He got me the new MAC 130 brush! I was so thrilled. He got me the 188, and now this! I'm so happy, I can't believe it! We met after he finished uni and we walked around Oxford Street for a bit, went to GAME to look for new video games, and then ate out at one of my ever favourite restaurants - Las Iguanas in Soho.
We had the usual: 3 Tapas - Champinones, Quesadillas and Nachos. A few drinks, and we also tried this new dish called Chilli. I didn't like it as much as what we always order, but it was worth a try. Too much tomato sauce. :)
After that, Selfridges was still open and we decided to drop by. And I was so thrilled - he got me the MAC 130 brush! So here's my short review!
The MAC 130 brush is a flat toppped duo fibre brush. The bristles are firm but soft. It's more dense than the 188 brush, and its white bristles are also much shorter. I've heard that this brush is good for applying foundation, ensuring an 'air-brushed' finish with enough buffing, but I think it may also be good at contouring since the shape kinda reminds me of the MAC 109 brush, which used to be my contouring brush! I don't contour my cheeks any more which is why 'it used to be'. I think this brush may also be good for applying blush, since its small enough, creme or powder blushes. I'm so excited to have this, I couldn't stop smiling through the night because he bought it for me, but mainly because he actually remembered that I wanted this! It makes me really happy when people remember my wishlists lol. xx Well anyway, onto more pictures :)

1. I had braces but I didn't want my overbite removed (so I still have it lol!)
2. I love eating crabs and shrimps though I'm allergic to them. I take my anti-allergy tablets beforehand!
3. I like dipping fresh warm salty and crispy McDonald's fries in McDonald's vanilla ice-cream. It really tastes good together, you should try it!
4. I also enjoy eating chocolate with potato crisps at the same time.
5. I shared this in a previous tag, but I've had a pet chicken before.
6. I have hyperacidity issues and need to take Gaviscon when studying for stressful exams!
7. I get grumpy when I'm hungry. Lol.
I just realised that 5 out of 7 random stuff I thought have something to do with my stomach! Although I do use my teeth to eat, and the chicken was eventually eaten (I was so shocked then), so that would make it all 7 to do with food. Hi everyone!! My first exam is in the end of the week, and if you have an idea of what med-school is like, well one week of revision is not enough! And that is why I haven't been posting much lately, since I've been studying last week. Although two weeks of work isn't enough either, I'm trying my best lol. I've regretted not buying So Scarlet lipstick when the MAC Cult of Cherry collection was out, so when I finally found it for a good price on eBay I decided to grab it. MAC So Scarlet an amazing red lipstick. A dark (but not too dark!) blue-based red lipstick, with a creamy amplified creme finish. It is gorgeous, probably one of the best red lipsticks in my collection (along with Russian Red of-course)!

I really want to get Resort Life lipgelee, and 3 cremeblend blushes: So Sweet So Easy, Joie-de-Vivre and Florida - and you can even use these on your lips! But MAC costs precious money too which is why I'm a bit :( about it. Ah well. The new MAC collection doesn't come out in the UK for another 2 weeks so I hope I'll be able to save a bit.

Lip Swatch: MAC So Scarlet Lipstick
Hi everyone! I'm finally back to blogging (again!), and I'm back in London too! I was really busy last week because of last minute stuff before the trip back, and when I got back to London 2 days ago, I had to cram my module essay aka mini-journal paper lol. I just submitted it electronically, and now I'm tired, hungry and jet-lagged. I'm happy to have my project out of the way though, but just to let you know, I might not have the time to be on my blog much for this month, because my exams are just around the corner! I'll try to update and post more posts when I can though. Please bear with me ♥
Here's a look I did last week that I've been meaning to post in a while! I used the products I got from my last MAC haul at the London Heathrow duty free ♥ It's a pretty simple neutral look, I hope you enjoy it!

MAC eyeshadows in Tete-a-tint (matte peach, lid) & Antiqued (shimmery copper/brown, crease)

L'oreal Double Extension Mascara with Serum Inside Primer

By the way, I might not have many looks posted in the next week because I have a few tiny scabs on my cheeks waiting to heal! I had my personal Dermatologist (aka MOM) treat my freckles before I left, that grew bigger from all the sun exposure back home lol.
Me waiting for the anaesthesia to work - I'm tanned!!
I also had a haircut and my hair permed again after that. I had it done at Tony and Jackey in SM City Davao. This was my hairdresser; he's Korean. I can't remember his name though. He was funny although it was also kinda awkward that he was pretend (?) hitting on me the entire time. And don't those electronic curlers look scary??? Its called a Digital Perm, and boy were they heavy! o.o
